No. It's Cookie in his wingsuit.Cookie recently did Skydive Waikato's first ever wingsuit jump and is always keen to have people flock with him. Visiting skydivers Till from Switzerland and Alex from Austria obliged and now we have several jumpers interested in doing a wingsuit course.
POPS NEWS
Frank, GB , Pete, Dene, Ron, Tony and Gary have been doing some awesome CRW over the past year and have been scaring ( sorry, that should be coaching! ) Rohan in CRW.
There was good attendance from the POPS for the Christmas BBQ on 13 December, most of whom stayed the night and jumped on Sunday. Thanks to all who showed up.
OTHER NEWS
Santa and his helpers have been having skydiving lessons and it really paid off when they did a skydive into the Orini Reseve. Santa was mobbed by hundreds of kids, but managed to survive the onslaught.
He also jumped into the Walton School on 19 December, with one of his helpers, much to the delight of 120 very well behaved children. Parents were well behaved too!!
SKYDIVE WAIKATO is under new ownership. New owners Mark and Jodi Horning ( and daughter Alyssa ) are bringing a wealth of experience and qualifications to the business. They have spent the past year at the Christchurch Parachute School. We know they will bring fresh enthusiasm and ideas to Skydive Waikato.
After many years at the helm Eric is looking forward to having time to continue motorcycling around the world ( and New Zealand) with Camp Mother.
A big thank you to all our past customers and to those who kept coming back for more. Special thanks to those who helped at the dz over the years - instructors, tandem masters, pilots, packers, office staff etc. They are too numerous to mention individually, but will always be remembered and appreciated.
BEST WISHES FOR 2009
BLUE SKIES EVERYONE
